Jenny+Ronny

Yorkshire Terrier · Male · 3 years

Name: Jenny und Ronny Breed: Yorkshire Terrier-Malteser-Mischlinge Gender: female and male, both neutered Animal ID: 266761 respectively 266762 Date of Birth: 2014 respectively 2019 Size: under knee-high Children in the same household: quiet teenagers possible Home sought: city-friendly The loving, born in 2014 and 2019 mixed-breed pair Jenny and Ronny are people-friendly and can also be placed with quiet teenagers. Other dogs do not know the two, social walks are just starting – but they are still stressed and bark when at dog shows. The slightly older female dog Jenny has no teeth left and takes heart medication. The duo walks nicely on a leash and has lived in the city. How they handle being left alone is unknown – therefore, a backup should be present, as Ronny shows that he does not want to be left by trying to bite his shins when leaving the kennel. Since Ronny's castration, house soiling has improved significantly. As dog contacts are new, they should be walked on quiet times or find a home on the outskirts of the city or in the countryside to avoid being overwhelmed by dog encounters.

Name: Jenny und Ronny Rasse: Yorkshire Terrier-Malteser-Mischlinge Geschlecht: weiblich und männlich, beide kastriert Tiernr.: 266761 bzw. 266762 Geburtsdatum: 2014 bzw.

About Jenny+Ronny

What life with Jenny+Ronny looks like

Jenny+Ronny is a small adult yorkshire terrier dog waiting at Tierschutz Austria in Vienna.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jenny+Ronny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jenny+Ronny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz Austria handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jenny+Ronny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jenny+Ronny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz Austria will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jenny+Ronny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jenny+Ronny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz Austria early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jenny+Ronny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
