Jerry

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Jerry arrived to us after being found on the streets without microchip and we thought people will start to look for him directly, because he came in PERFECT condition, the most white fur, combed as if he came straight from a groomer, perfect coat, perfect teeth, super clean. But no, nobody come looking for him, so he stayed with us and we named him Jerry. Jerry is a young, fun-loving, happy, cheerful boy who brings a smile on everyone’s faces. He is super social with people and loves to be around humans, in whatever you are doing - cleaning, cooking, reading a book, Jerry always wants to be by your side. Jerry walks very nicely on the leash. He is a bit jumpy when he sees humans, so he still needs to learn some manners and boundaries, to understand that he should not jump up on every person to greet them with joy and happyness, but he learns incredibly fast and is very ready for a home. He loves all humans, also children. In case of children in the family, it would be best if the kids are already a bit older, so especially in the beginning, Jerry doesn’t jump them down with all the love he wants to share. Jerry is also very good with other dogs, just a little bit shy at first, but quickly blends into the group. He could join a home with already one or more dogs present, or he could also be an only dog to an active household. Jerry was extra unlucky to catch parvovirus in the shelter’s entry area when he arrived, and he spent almost 2 weeks in the hospital to recover from Parvovirus, but he walked out of the hospital like a champion, not even having lost weight! Now he still needs to recover his intestines by having Gastro food for a while, but other than that, he is healthy and ready to go home! His shoulder height is approximately 58-60cm.

About Jerry

What life with Jerry looks like

Jerry is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jerry, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jerry?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jerry on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jerry if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jerry already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jerry isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jerry and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
