Jetts and Flump

Mixed Breed Β· Female Β· Adult Β· 8 years

If you are thinking about adopting a pair of oldies, you may want to read our article Are Two Oldies better than One? Classed as "Little and Large", Jetts and Flump are a fantastic, inseparable pair who can't wait to settle back into their new home. This scrumptious duo are being cared for by Leicester Animal Aid until they go to their forever home. Jetts! Jetts is an 8 year old, female Greyhound and Flump is a female Pug, also 8 years old. Like two peas in a pod, they are hilarious to watch when they play, zooming after one another and exploring new places. They are happy to live with children aged 10+. Flump! Jetts and Flump look super cute when snuggled up together at night or on the sofa, like butter wouldn’t melt! Both love human companionship and cuddles and could never be parted from each other. Loving homely comforts, they would be so happy to find their new family soon. Jetts and Flump have each other for companionship so can be left for part of the day. Both are lovely walkers and can be handled together but sadly their recall isn’t the best, so any off-lead exercise would be better in a secure hired out field. They are happy living together as the only pets but do enjoy meeting new dogs when out on walks. Neither Jetts nor Flump asks for anything apart from cuddles and love, making them a fantastic and easy pair to own. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Would you like to take adorable Jetts and Flump home? About Jetts and Flump

What life with Jetts and Flump looks like

Jetts and Flump is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at The Oldies Club in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible β€” a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jetts and Flump, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jetts and Flump?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Oldies Club handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jetts and Flump on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jetts and Flump if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” The Oldies Club will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Jetts and Flump already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jetts and Flump isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Oldies Club early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jetts and Flump and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
