Jewel

Unknown · Young · 2 years

Jade is a snow-white, enchanting fancy pigeon who came to us as a found animal. Since she was not particularly frightened, she was easy to catch; otherwise, with her conspicuous coloring, she might have fallen prey to a bird of prey... A few days later, another such pigeon was found (we named her Jewel), and it is likely that the two belong together. Jade and Jewel immediately took each other to heart. Of course, we will no longer separate them and will only place them together in a spacious aviary. They make a dream couple. Pigeons of the same species can naturally live there as well. In this context, we would like to point out that a large number of other pigeons are still

Frequently asked

Adopting Jewel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jewel?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Bocholt handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jewel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jewel if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierheim Bocholt what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Jewel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierheim Bocholt directly what is included and what Jewel still needs.
What happens if Jewel isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Bocholt early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jewel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically.
