Jim Knopf

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 6 months

I was given the funny name Jim Knopf at the animal shelter. I was found by people. Since I was traveling alone and made a disturbed impression, the people brought me to the animal shelter. Here I have made friends with the cat Socke. He is also about We are not cats for quiet people. We want to be busy. We want to experience something and are happy about every attention. We could imagine ourselves well in a family with older children. A cat-friendly furnished apartment, with a netted balcony would be a dream. If you live in a traffic-calmed area, we could also imagine going out later and exploring the world. If you have a written consent from the landlord to keep pets, you are welcome to contact the animal shelter.

About Jim Knopf

What life with Jim Knopf looks like

Jim Knopf is a kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Tierheim Stuttgart in Stuttgart.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jim Knopf, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jim Knopf?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Stuttgart handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jim Knopf on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jim Knopf if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Stuttgart will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Jim Knopf already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jim Knopf isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Stuttgart early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jim Knopf and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
