Jin

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 2 months

Jin is a small, curious female cat who is just beginning to discover the big world. She is initially a bit cautious and shy around strangers. However, with a little time and security, her curious and playful side quickly emerges. Jin and her two siblings were abandoned at a spot where Dorel regularly feeds street cats. The three little kittens were suddenly left to fend for themselves and would have had little chance outside. Fortunately, they were discovered in time and brought to safety. Jin gets along very well with other cats. At her young age, fellow cats are especially important for her development, which is why she is not being rehomed as a single cat. Therefore, a suitable cat should already live in her new home or she can move in with one of her siblings. Dogs have not been tested so far. Jin is currently too young for her trip. As soon as she is old enough and fully prepared for the journey.

About Jin

What life with Jin looks like

Jin is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
