Tammy

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

Tammy is a very friendly and playful little girl dog who loves being around people. She is lively, curious, and typical of a puppy. She seems to openly accept new situations, and the helpers assume she will adjust well to her new environment. Tammy also gets along well with other dogs and is already compatible with cats. Tammy is currently about 3 months old, about 30 cm tall, and weighs around 4 kg. She is still a small girl dog at the moment. When fully grown, she is expected to reach a small to medium size, although this cannot be reliably determined at the moment. Tammy was found and rescued by our animal rights activist Sonia, along with her three siblings Theo, Levin, and Tira. The four little rascals are now safe in our private shelter, and we hope that their lives will soon take a new direction: out of the shelter and into a loving home. Of course, Tammy is still at the beginning of her life. Like every puppy, she must first learn the ABCs of dog behavior. Housebreaking, leash training, staying alone, rest phases, and the many small rules of family life are among the things she must learn step by step. Her future owners should therefore have the time, patience, and joy of accompanying a young female dog as she grows up. Attending a positive working dog school would be a nice way to learn together and create a good foundation for life together from the start. We wish for people who consciously embark on the adventure of a puppy. People who show her the world, give her security and orientation, and at the same time understand that a small dog is not only cute, but also responsibility, time, and upbringing. In return, you can experience how a curious puppy gradually becomes a wonderful companion for life. Tammy already brings a lot with her: She is people-oriented, friendly, playful, and social. She knows how to interact with other dogs and cats. Now she just needs a family where she can grow up protected and develop her own personality. Tammy can be chipped, dewormed, and de-fleaed and can travel with her own EU pet passport. She is not yet castrated in accordance with her age. Tammy will be placed after a positive preliminary check and for a deposit. A loving foster home would also be a great opportunity for the little girl dog not to have to spend her childhood in a shelter. Who would like to show this little, cheerful mouse the world and accompany her on her way through life? Thank you Christina S.! You gave Tammy her name! Status: 29.09.2026 Further information on the preliminary check and deposit

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Christina S.! Du hast Tammy ihren Namen geschenkt! About Tammy

What life with Tammy looks like

Tammy is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tammy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tammy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tammy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tammy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tammy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tammy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tammy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
