Jinn

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

"Hello, my name is Jinn. I am a handsome fellow with a blue-gray coat from nose to paw. Soft as silk and with just the right amount of fluff. Sometimes I forget to pull my tongue all the way in, so I can sit and look at you with a charming little blink. I have taken some time to become confident, but once you have won my heart, I love cuddling! In fact, I can lie for a long time just enjoying it and rubbing against you. I don't necessarily run for cuddles, but once the cuddling starts, I can't get enough! I appreciate calm people who let me take things at my own pace and who come to me to cuddle and give me treats. I'm not a fan of strangers and take some time to get to know new people. I thrive best in a quiet home, where I can be king in my own little castle. I like to sit up high and watch everything that happens, and I have my little antics when I get my energy waves. I am both independent and a little mischievous, but also polite and very charming once I open up. With a little patience, you will get a loyal and fun friend who values treats, cuddles, and the opportunity to observe the world from his favorite vantage point. Shall we become best friends? 😺" – Sincerely, Jinn Jinn is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and has had a full health check and deworming.

About Jinn

What life with Jinn looks like

Jinn is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter in Trollåsen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jinn, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jinn?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jinn on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jinn if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jinn already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jinn isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jinn and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NB). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
