Joey: een bijzonder hondje van ruim 2 jaar jong die opzoek is naar een gouden mandje. Joey is een poos geleden opgevangen in Turkije door mensen en omdat hij daar geen kans maakte op een toekomst is ons gevraagd of wij hem wilden opvangen. En zodoende is deze knul bij ons gekomen en gaan wij hem helpen zoeken naar een passend mandje. Joey is een grappig hondje om te zien, hij is een soort labrador op korte poten en dat maakt hem erg leuk om te zien. Joey is soms wat afwachtend naar nieuwe mensen en zeker mannen vind hij wat ingewikkeld. Hier heeft hij duidelijk een trauma aan opgelopen en het zal tijd kosten dat hij vertrouwen heeft. Maar hij heeft zich hier ook vrij snel aangepast en zien we ook zijn leuke, vrolijke en speelse kant. Joey gaat snel op zijn rug liggen als iets ingewikkeld wordt en dit lijkt wat aangeleerd gedrag te zijn om hiermee conflicten te kunnen vermijden. Want ondanks hij hiermee heel onzeker overkomt, is hij ook wel een hondje die weet wat hij wil en sturing en grenzen nodig heeft. Mogelijk komt dit ook deels weg uit zijn trauma, maar dit maakt dat we wel ervaren baasjes voor hem zoeken die hem gaan begeleiden. Toch zien we ook dat als hij leiding krijgt, hij ook veel contact met je maakt en dan wel zijn best voor je wilt doen. Joey kan het prima vinden teven, met reuen kan hij soms wat dominant zijn en daarom plaatsen we hem hier ook niet bij. Als je reuen tijdens de wandelingen tegenkomt is dit geen probleem. Joey kan het niet vinden met katten. Joey plaatsen wij niet in een gezin met kinderen. Verder heeft Joey een tijd in een foster gewoond in Turkije en hij is dus gewend aan het huisleven, maar zal in zijn nieuwe huis wel weer even moeten wennen. Voor Joey zoeken wij dus mensen die ervaring hebben met honden en die helemaal voor hem willen gaan. Die hem gaan begeleiden en lekker met hem gaan wandelen en waar hij helemaal gelukkig mag worden.
