Jolly

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 7 months

Jolly is a small, adorable female dog with a beautiful brown coat featuring a heart-shaped white patch on her chest and white spots on her paws. She was abandoned, but fortunately rescued before the onset of the harsh Romanian winter. Perhaps a Christmas miracle will happen and Jolly will soon travel to a new home. At her Romanian foster home, Jolly is being cared for and receiving love and affection, but the living conditions are cramped as she shares her space with other stray dogs. She gets along very well with them. We currently do not know how Jolly reacts to cats. We hope Jolly finds a home in a rural or urban area where she can get enough exercise and opportunities to grow. Experience shows that positive dog training schools successfully guide the first steps with very young street dogs. Therefore, we recommend that Jolly receives professional training to gain confidence. The puberty phase will be turbulent, as almost all dogs show their worst side during this time of hormonal changes. They can be very energetic or forgetful. They also like to test boundaries. But the puberty phase will pass, and Jolly will most likely become a dream dog. Will Jolly be able to watch you decorate the Christmas tree soon? After a positive pre-check and for a deposit, she will be microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-free from the beginning of December, ready to travel to you. She will have her EU pet passport with her. She will also be very happy to be fostered. We would like to thank Marion Hofmann. In anticipation of spring, she gave Jolly this beautiful name, which means "Violet" among other things.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 02.11.2026

About Jolly

What life with Jolly looks like

Jolly is a large puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jolly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jolly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jolly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jolly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Jolly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jolly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jolly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
