Adopt Jonny

Mixed Breed · Male

The male cat Jonny approaching the center is a proud, fluffy, rather large boy. He has dreamy blue eyes, pointed ears and by nature he is a true sunbeam. At the animal shelter he hasn't been for very long and it seems that he previously had both a home and a person, as he is a very friendly type who craves affection and cuddles, as if he had already gotten used to receiving them since childhood. He gets along well with other cats, if they are as calm as Jonny himself and do not seek fights. Jonny can also cope well as the only cat in a family. His gentle nature includes low food requirements and politeness and a desire to keep clean. He himself is well-groomed and wants to see cleanliness and order in his surroundings. Jonny is sad because he has to spend time at the animal shelter instead of offering joy and peace to a good person. If you would like to offer Jonny a home, you can fill out the adoption application by clicking on the "Offer a Home" button and we will then contact you. The maintenance of the animals at the shelter can only be carried out with the help of good donors. If you would like to help cover Jonny's maintenance costs while he is at the animal shelter, you can do so in the box "Donate to the animal". Thank you for helping!

Keskeale lähenev isane Jonny on uhke ruuge karvakasukaga kasvult pigem suurem poissmees.

About Jonny

What life with Jonny looks like

Jonny is a large adult mixed breed cat waiting at Varjupaikade MTÜ in Tallinn.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jonny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jonny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Varjupaikade MTÜ handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jonny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jonny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Varjupaikade MTÜ will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jonny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jonny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Varjupaikade MTÜ early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jonny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
