It became clear quickly that the white terrier-mix from Romania had probably already had a home before. Joshi was no stray dog but seemed to be familiar with life in a house. The friendly male dog was immediately house-trained, allowed a harness, walks well on a leash, and sleeps relaxed during car rides. Why Joshi ended up in the Romanian animal shelter remains a mystery. His foster home is certainly delighted with him. The vet estimated the approximately three-year-old dog gets along well with female dogs. This is shown in the foster home, where there is a friendly first female dog. With other male dogs, he currently shows some macho behavior – which can be worked on with consistent leadership. Joshi is very cuddly and clingy. As soon as you sit on the sofa, he snuggles closely and enjoys every pat. Sometimes he tends to defend a resource, but clear leadership is also important here. Due to his terrier genes, dog-experienced people would be ideal for him. Children should already be in their teenage years.

Hier wurde schnell klar, dass der weiße Terrier-Mix aus Rumänien bestimmt schon mal ein Zuhause gehabt hat. Joshi war kein Straßenhund, sondern scheint das Leben im Haus zu kennen. Der nette Rüde war sofort stubenrein, ließ sich ein Geschirr anziehen, läuft gut an der Leine und schläft entspannt bei Autofahrten. Warum Joshi im rumänischen Tierheim landete, bleibt wohl sein Geheimnis. Seine Pflegestelle ist jedenfalls begeistert von ihm. Der von unserem Tierarzt auf etwa drei Jahre geschätzte Hund versteht sich sehr gut mit Hündinnen. Das zeigt er in der Pflegestelle, wo es eine freundliche Erst-Hündin gibt. Bei anderen Rüden zeigt er momentan noch etwas Macho-Verhalten – daran kann man mit konsequenter Führung arbeiten. Joshi ist sehr verschmust und anhänglich. Sobald man sich aufs Sofa setzt, kuschelt er sich eng an und genießt jede Streicheleinheit. Manchmal neigt er zum Verteidigen einer Ressource, aber mit auch hier ist klare Führung bei ihm wichtig. Wegen seiner Terrier-Gene wären hundeerfahrene Menschen ideal für ihn. Kinder sollten bereits im Teenageralter sein.
