Zoveel mensen, zoveel manieren van omschrijven hoe een hondje is. Omdat de aspirant adoptant van Floppy naar de Safe Haven van Thenia ging, hebben we haar gevraagd om foto’s en omschrijvingen te sturen van de hondjes daar. Natuurlijk was zij meer met haar eigen Flopper bezig, maar we kregen inderdaad wat leuke korte omschrijvingen. Deze leuke kleine knakworst gaat binnenkort naar de dierenarts voor haar standaard testen. We verwachten niets spannends. Zij is allang klaar om te reizen. Afgelopen zondag kwam er een interessemelding voor haar. Even over vijven lag hij in de mailbox. Heel blij stuurden we om vlak voor negenen een mail terug, om te horen dat mevrouw al voorzien was. Het kan soms snel gaan… we hopen dat deze kans ook voor Joyce komt. 30-06-2026 Joyce zwierf al even op de ‘snelweg’ van Kopanaki naar Kalo Nero. Langs die weg is maar 1 ‘House factory’, maar daar kwam ze niet vandaan. Het was de rescuers al vaker opgevallen hoe ontzettend lief ze overkwam, maar zoals vaker, werd ze gevoerd waar ze was. Omdat het echt tijd werd haar te steriliseren, werd ze afgelopen zaterdag gevangen en meteen doorgebracht naar de dierenarts. Meteen bleek hoe lief ze was en wat voor geweldig karakter ze heeft. Ze is zó blij van de straat te zijn en Thenia, waar ze nu mag herstellen, kan het niet over haar hart verkrijgen haar terug op straat te zetten. Ze zou ook niet terug kunnen waar ze vandaan komt, want die weg is echt heel gevaarlijk! En dus zoeken we voor haar een huisje. Dit meisje, nog geen twee jaar oud en 15kg, verdient een huisje! Zij is typisch zo’n zwerfhondje wat dánkbaar is. Wat opgelucht is en blij van straat gehaald te zijn. Ze doet het met de andere hondjes perfect en is ook nog eens lief met de mensen. Ze mag even bijkomen. Daarna zullen er bloedtesten gedaan worden. 12-08-2026 “𝘑𝘰𝘺𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘧𝘭𝘪𝘫𝘬 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨. ” Tijdens de reis van Petra ging zij langs op de nieuwe Safe Haven van Thenia en ontmoette Joyce. Ze is lief, aanhankelijk en echt een kleintje! Die kan je overal neerzetten. Het is jammer dat we zo weinig updates van haar krijgen, want zo’n leuk, jong, kleine middelmaat hond, hoeft toch haar dagen niet buiten te slijten.
