01-12-2025 Hoewel Pepe een van de grotere jongens is, valt hij toch niet zo op. Meestal zijn de grotere goedzakken natuurlijk ook de rustigere jongens en 𝗱𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘁 𝘇𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘃𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗽𝗲. Hij houdt wel van een knuffel, hoewel hij niet zoals zijn broertje Spice erom komt vragen. Je mag ze zeker wel komen brengen! Ook Pepe houdt ervan de beentjes te strekken en hoewel het nog wat onwennig is, loopt hij toch al wel flink door buiten de poort. Zoe heeft dit nest als pup ook heel goed getraind. Pepe is een stabiele jongeman. Er zullen weinig ‘echte updates’ over hem komen, want… stabiel en wat maakt hij nu mee in de Safe Haven?! Die avonturen komen als hij bij zijn (for ever home) is. Het begin Zoe’s pups: 7 kleine wurmpjes van nog geen zes weken oud, die op 9 of 10 maart over het hek van het ons maar al te bekende Abandoned I zijn gegooid. Dit huis ligt ontzettend afgelegen en iemand moest weten dat Dora een hond, Charles, hier verborg zodat zij hem kan verzorgen. Behalve Beni zijn ze allemaal nog voorzichtig naar mensen, maar wie neemt dat ze kwalijk. Toen Dora naar Athene verhuisde en haar moeder uitviel door lichamelijke klachten, dreigden de pups op straat te komen. Zoe kon het echter niet over haar hart verkrijgen; ze zouden het niet overleven en zij huurde iemand in om voor ze te zorgen. Pepe was in het begin wat angstig. Toen hij zich goed ontwikkelde, werd er eigenlijk minder over hem geschreven, omdat hij precies in het midden viel: hij was niet angstig, maar hij was ook niet de meest open. 17-10-2024 Heel lang was onbekend van wie het huis was en dus dreigde er geen uitzetting, tot er pas iemand voor het hek stond: “wat doen die honden in mijn huis? Ik haal de politie erbij” Het huis was verkocht en de nieuwe eigenaar stond te briesen; de inmiddels volwassen honden moesten per direct weg. Benjamin en Basil werden naar Thenia overgebracht en een heel bang meisje naar Paganis. Pepper (die nu Pepe heet) en Spice kwamen naar ons. 17-10-2024 Pepe is een lieve, gevoelige jongeman. Hij is sinds pup-zijn gepamperd door Zoe en leefde met zijn broertjes en zusjes in Abandoned I. Die locatie werd verkocht en de inmiddels volwassen honden konden daar niet meer blijven. Het nest is opgesplitst en Pepe is samen met zijn broertje Spice, naar de FTS Safe haven verhuisd. Pepe is wat sneller onder de indruk en dat zagen we ook bij het ‘afleveren’ op de Safe haven. Spice ging meteen heel gezellig aan de slag met iedereen voor hem winnen en Pepe trok zich een beetje terug. Zoe’s hart brak, toen ze weg ging en in zijn ogen keek. Ze voelde of ze hem in de steek liet. Over Pepe zeggen de Workawayers nog niet veel. Ze laten hem vooral landen. In de kennel bij vrolijke Sparkles en duidelijk zeer open broertje Spice, zal het hopelijk snel beter met hem gaan. 20-11-2024 Pepe laat zijn muurtje zakken. Het is ook allemaal wat: van een relatief veilige omgeving met alleen je broertjes en zusjes en een vaste verzorger, naar een indrukwekkende Safe Haven met overal nieuwe geluiden, onbekende honden, onbekende mensen. Het is een lieverd die duidelijk gewend is koekjes aan te nemen en dat helpt zo enorm bij het vertrouwen terug winnen! Daarnaast zit hij met oudgediende Xavi en pretbekkie Sparkles in de kennel, dus daar kan hij behoorlijk van afkijken. Nog even en hij is weer helemaal zichzelf.
