Juba

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 6 years

Juba, a male dog, came to our Romanian animal shelter very emaciated. Unfortunately, we know very little about his past, but we are very happy that he has gained more than a kilogram. Juba loves to enjoy his well-filled food bowl. Wet food is at the top of his wish list! What he lacks for his ultimate happiness is a ticket to a beautiful home. We hope that the wiry middle-aged Juba will not have to wait long for his personal happy ending and will soon get his own, always generously filled bowl and a cozy bed. Juba, who stands out with his striking appearance, appears to be very sociable and adventurous. He is currently secured with a long-distance leash because he has already tried to escape twice from the foster home garden. Whoever decides for him should have time, because Juba wants to take long walks that meet both his curiosity and his desire for discovery. Walking on a leash works already without problems. For the training of the other important lessons of the dog ABC, we recommend cooperation with a positively working dog school. Stray dogs are often a kind of miracle bag. Nobody knows what they have experienced or suffered so far. Therefore, the work with professional dog trainers can not only support Juba, but also relieve his heart person. The male dog shows himself friendly and open to other dogs. How he reacts to cats, we currently do not know. It is certain, however, that Juba should be accustomed to conspecifics with patience and empathy, so that jealousy or territory disputes are prevented from the outset. Has the charismatic Juba aroused your interest? Maybe he will soon lie next to you on the cozy sofa, because cuddling is one of his favorite activities. Juba's suitcase is packed and ready to go. He can zoom to you after a positive pre-control and against a deposit fee, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, dewormed and castrated. He also has his EU pet passport in his luggage. Juba would of course also be very happy about a loving foster home. Thank you, dear Katrin. You have given our charming Juba a very special name. He already wears it with pride! Status: 25.09.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank, liebe Katrin. Du hast unserem bezaubernden Juba einen sehr speziellen Namen geschenkt. Er trägt ihn bereits mit Stolz! Stand: 25.09.2026

About Juba

What life with Juba looks like

Juba is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Juba, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Juba?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Juba on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Juba if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Juba already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Juba isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Juba and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
