Jude's Story: Jude's story is quite sad. He was found on the street some time ago by a volunteer from Zante Strays on the Greek island of Zakynthos. He was trembling. He was full of wounds and covered in blood. It was clear that he had been attacked by other dogs. Jude was taken to the vet immediately. After that, he went to a loving foster home to recover and heal. This took some time, but he has fully recovered. Except for his one eye, which was too damaged and he has to live without. Jude is not less handsome because of that and can live well with it. Jude weighs about 13/14 pounds and has a nice size. As soon as an adopter or foster family is found for Jude, he can come to the Netherlands. Sweet, adorable Jude. So much has happened in his life. He lives with a foster family on Zakynthos. There he lives with other dogs and that goes fine. However, we want him to have a golden bed, all to himself or with a sweet other quiet dog. Jude is still a bit hesitant towards new people and also cautious towards dogs. Logical, given his background. We are looking for someone for Jude, or a couple, without children. People who lead a quiet life and who have all the time for him. Lovely walks with him and pampering him. We don't think children and other pets are a good idea in Jude's case. Not that he's not sweet, but it could be exciting for him. Is Jude a standard "starter dog"? No, he's not. But Jude is a treasure of a dog, who deserves a very nice life. We are looking for someone who will take him as he is and will slowly build up with him from there. We are sure that Jude can flourish even more with the right person or people. He just needs time, love and patience. His ideal bed is in a very quiet environment, in the countryside. And of course, the house has a fence.

Het verhaal van Jude: Het verhaal van Jude is best verdrietig. Hij is een tijd geleden gevonden op straat, door een vrijwilliger van Zante Strays, op het Griekse eiland Zakynthos. Hij zat helemaal te trillen. Hij zat vol wonden en onder het bloed. Het was duidelijk dat hij was aangevallen door andere honden. Jude is direct naar de dierenarts gebracht. Daarna is hij in een lief gastgezin gekomen, om op krachten te kom en te herstellen. Dit heeft even geduurd maar hij is weer helemaal tip top in orde. Behalve zijn ene oogje, dat was te beschadigd en dat moet hij missen. Jude is er niet minder knap om en kan er prima mee leven. Jude weegt een kilo of 13/14 en heeft een fijn formaatje. Zodra er een adoptant of gastgezin voor Jude is gevonden, kan hij naar Nederland komen. Lieve, schattige Jude. Zoveel meegemaakt in zijn leventje. Hij verblijft bij bij een gastgezin op Zakynthos. Daar leeft hij samen met andere hondjes en dat gaat prima. Toch gunnen we hem een gouden mandje, helemaal alleen voor zichzelf of met een lieve andere rustige hond. Jude is nog steeds wat afwachtend naar nieuwe mensen toe en ook honden toe is hij ook voorzichting. Logisch, gezien zijn achtergrond. Wij zoeken voor Jude iemand, of een stel, zonder kinderen. Mensen die een rustig leven leiden en die alle tijd voor hem hebben. Lekker met hem willen wandelen en hem vertroetelen. Als er een andere hond in huis is, dan een vriendelijke, stabiele hond. Jude is een schat van een hond, die een heel mooi leven verdient. We zoeken iemand die hem neemt zoals hij is en van daaruit heel rustig gaat opbouwen met hem. We weten zeker dat Jude nog veel meer tot bloei kan komen, bij de juiste persoon of personen. Hij heeft alleen tijd, liefde en geduld nodig. Zijn ideale mandje staat in een hele rustige omgeving, in het groen.
