Jule

Mixed Breed · Female

Jule is doing great! Country of origin: Romania Breed: Mixed Gender: Female, spayed Color: Black-beige-striped Shoulder height: approximately medium-sized Birth date: approximately 2/2026 Location: 91489 Wilhelmsdorf This young, beautiful female dog is still new to the shelter and initially stayed in the dog kennel when we entered. When we paid her attention, she didn't know what to do with us at first. It's clear that she has little or no contact with humans. However, once she realized we meant no harm, the ice was quickly broken. From then on, we could touch and pet her everywhere, and even pick her up without any problems. All of this was probably still unfamiliar to her, but she remained defensive at all times and allowed our closeness. We are very sure that she will quickly warm up and trust in a quiet and understanding environment. We very much hope that this really nice dog will be seen by her people soon and will be able to leave the shelter soon. Currently, she is unfortunately too thin. She lives in a mixed pack and seems to be compatible there. Contact: Our dogs are vaccinated (rabies and 2x basic immunization) are chipped and equipped with the EU pet passport are tested for the common Mediterranean diseases: Babesiosis, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmaniasis, Rickettsia, Filaria, Hepatozoonosis, Anaplasmosis are only mediated against a deposit with a protection contract after a positive preliminary check (house visit). Important documents: Self-assessment for adopters Self-assessment for foster homes *The information on the dogs (especially those still in Romania) is without guarantee. The recordings only represent snapshots. The dogs were recorded by voluntary volunteers to the best of their knowledge and conscience. Therefore, there may be deviations in age, size, gender, health and also behavior. We are an active alliance partner!

About Jule

What life with Jule looks like

Jule is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. in Oberwies.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jule, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jule?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jule on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jule if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jule already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jule isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jule and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
