adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Juliet has found her people! Her story: Four charming teenagers on their way to a happy future in their first home – will Juliet, Lilli, Pagira, or Klay be moving in with you soon? The mother of the four kittens is a real stray cat who unfortunately has nothing to do with humans. When our animal welfare workers noticed her on site, our little gang was just two weeks old. The colleagues took the opportunity and used her as bait to finally get the stray cat spayed. The five of them came to their current foster home, and when the kittens reached the right age and were no longer dependent on their mother, she was spayed and then released again. She is now under supervision in her familiar environment, but the now teenage kittens should get the chance to find a loving home, as they have never known life on the street. Juliet, the special tri-colored girl of the group, is now about 9 months old. She is not only the largest of the siblings but also the self-appointed leader of the group, a sharp and clever kitten girl who likes to observe and then bravely approaches everything. She loves to snuggle, talk a lot, and enjoys the attention of people. Our Juliet has grown up very social and loves to spend time with her siblings, so she should also not be the only cat in her new home. If there is not already a same-aged playmate waiting for her there, she would of course be very happy to bring one of her siblings along. As she has not known life outside of an apartment so far and thus does not miss it, she should continue to live in an apartment. Juliet has already been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She also has an EU pet passport and is now waiting for the start of her new life. This cat is to be kept indoors only.

About Juliet

What life with Juliet looks like

Juliet is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Juliet, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Juliet?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Juliet on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Juliet if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Juliet already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Juliet isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Juliet and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
