Juliette

Female · Adult · 4 years

Juliette is a 4-year-old young dog who was entrusted to us due to her owner's serious health problems, which unfortunately now prevent them from caring for their dogs. The lack of time and energy at home has gradually led to tensions with the two other dogs in the house, even causing violent fights, making this separation inevitable. Behind her imposing appearance is a deeply sensitive dog. Before being taken in by her previous owner, Juliette had experienced a difficult start in life with a family that mistreated her. While she still retains some distrust when discovering new people, it quickly gives way to immense affection once trust is established. Once reassured, Juliette only wants to share the daily life of her human and fully enjoy this family life that she deserves so much. Very attached to the presence of her loved ones, she enjoys quiet moments, moments of complicity, and simply being with them. On walks, Juliette is a particularly pleasant companion. Accustomed to walks, she does not pull on the leash and quietly enjoys her surroundings. Her recall is also excellent as she willingly stays by your side, even when detached. Regarding other animals, we will prioritize a home without another dog to allow her to evolve in a serene environment without having to share the attention of her humans. As for cats, their compatibility remains unknown.

FR·Show original

About Juliette

What life with Juliette looks like

Juliette is a adult dog waiting at Perwez) in Sans Collier.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting Juliette, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Juliette?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Perwez) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Juliette on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Juliette if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Perwez) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Juliette already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Juliette isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Perwez) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Juliette and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
