Adopt Juna

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 6 months

friendly, open, playful, curious Juna came to us at the animal shelter with her sister Janice and her brother, suffering from a severe skin infection. The three siblings were found without their mother on an abandoned piece of land, likely abandoned and left to fend for themselves. In the first weeks, they required a lot of care and daily medical baths to help their skin heal. Step by step, they gained trust and developed into happy, lively puppies. Today, the hard times are barely noticeable, and her fur has grown back beautifully. While her brother has already found a home in Greece, Juna now waits to discover her own family. Juna is a friendly and rather gentle young female dog. She approaches people openly and affectionately without being pushy. She gets along well with other dogs and prefers to spend her days playing with her sister or relaxing in the sun. Currently, Juna has reached a shoulder height of about 50 cm. We also suspect she has some herding dog traits. Unlike her sister, Juna tends to be a bit more calm and sensitive in nature. However, she also brings a certain independence, which is why we are looking for people who can meet her with patience, clarity, and understanding. Juna is developing into a wonderful young female dog, and we hope she will soon find a home or foster home. She should have the chance to experience life outside the shelter, learn about everyday life, and form a close bond with her people. For Juna, we wish for a loving home with enough time, physical and mental stimulation, and preferably a rural environment. She is vaccinated, microchipped, and has an EU pet passport. Additionally, she is tested for age-appropriate Mediterranean diseases. For more information, see our homepage. Every dog that is placed also gives another suffering dog the chance for help and safety.

AUFENTHALTSORT

About Juna

What life with Juna looks like

Juna is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. in Greece.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting Juna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Juna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Juna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Juna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Juna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Juna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Juna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
