adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Juna has found her forever home! Her story: Baia Mare, Romania. Tri-colored female cat finally finds her happiness. Although Juna's fur color might suggest she is a lucky cat, she has unfortunately experienced a lot of misfortune in her life. As her name in Celtic means "the desired" or "the longed-for," we are hopeful that she will soon find a loving family. To her story: The beautiful female cat was found on a street in a village. There, she was hit by a car and simply left behind. Both of her hind legs were broken and had to be operated on. Thankfully, she is now almost fully recovered, though she still limps slightly. While in treatment, she was also diagnosed with asthma, as she coughed frequently and made noticeable breathing sounds. However, her asthma fortunately no longer causes her any problems and she does not require medication. Despite her health issues and her bad experience on the street, Juna is very affectionate and cuddly. She gets along well both alone and with other cats, and even with dogs. However, she can only be rehomed as a pure indoor cat. With a cat-safe netted balcony where she can sun herself and observe her surroundings, she would undoubtedly be happy. Juna is now available for her new family and is already neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. Additionally, she tested negative for FIV and FeLV and comes with an EU pet passport. Thank you to Gritt K.

About Juna

What life with Juna looks like

Juna is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Juna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Juna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Juna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Juna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Juna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Juna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Juna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
