Juno

Male · Young · 1 year

Juno is a young, strong, and energetic dog who explores the world with great enthusiasm. He loves movement, walks, and engaging in activities together with his human companion—playing tug-of-war is one of his favorite pastimes. On walks, he can become excited and curious about his surroundings—he’s fascinated by people, dogs, and other animals. Sometimes he pulls harder on the leash because he’d love to go over and check everything out. However, with each walk, he makes progress and learns better how to manage his emotions. Juno is an intelligent dog who’s eager to cooperate with his human companion—especially when treats are involved. When he’s really excited, he still struggles a bit to fully control his emotions, so he’ll need an owner who can help him learn calmer ways to express his joy. He’s not your typical couch potato—he’s looking for an active and patient owner who’s willing to work with him and help him channel his energy productively.

PL·Show original

Juno to młody, silny i pełen energii pies, który z ogromnym entuzjazmem poznaje świat. Lubi ruch, spacery i wspólne aktywności z człowiekiem – zabawa szarpakiem należy do jego ulubionych. Na spacerach bywa pobudzony i ciekawy otoczenia – interesują go ludzie, psy i zwierzęta. Zdarza mu się wtedy mocniej pociągnąć na smyczy, bo najchętniej podszedłby wszystko sprawdzić. Jednak z każdym spacerem robi postępy i coraz lepiej radzi sobie z emocjami.

About Juno

What life with Juno looks like

Juno is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu in Poznan.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Juno, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Juno?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Juno on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Juno if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Juno already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Juno isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Juno and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
