Juno

Male · Puppy · 10 months

Our Juno is a friendly, people-oriented male dog who enjoys being close to his caregivers and loves to share life’s journey with them. He is open, attentive, and eagerly participates in all activities with great enthusiasm. In everyday life, Juno already demonstrates many wonderful qualities: He walks nicely on the leash and calmly and relaxedly encounters cyclists, joggers, horses, and other dogs. He also handles car rides without any problems. Juno has already mastered basic commands and continually surprises us with his cleverness—opening doors is even one of his special talents. He loves to learn and works enthusiastically alongside his humans. In a new home, Juno will still need some support to settle in and find relaxation in daily life. However, with clear structures, patience, and loving guidance, he can make excellent progress here. He probably isn’t yet fully comfortable with being left alone and this should be introduced gradually and carefully. Juno has a low frustration tolerance; in exciting or challenging situations, he may express his stress by gently nipping at arms. With a reliable routine, clear leadership, and people who provide him with security, though, he’s easy to accompany and can receive valuable support in regulating his emotions. For Juno, we’re looking for an experienced dog home with people who enjoy giving him direction and continuing to foster his development. Due to his needs, he won’t be placed in a household with children or small pets. Anyone who gives this intelligent, lovable, and active male dog a chance will gain a loyal companion who forms a close bond with his humans and has tremendous potential. About Juno

What life with Juno looks like

Juno is a medium-sized puppy/kitten dog waiting at Kreistierheim Böblingen in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Juno, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Juno?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Kreistierheim Böblingen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Juno on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Juno if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Kreistierheim Böblingen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Juno already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Juno isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Kreistierheim Böblingen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Juno and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
