Adopt Justin

European Shorthair · Male

Justin was born last summer and is currently with our partner in Spain. This handsome guy one day appeared on the street, next to where one of our partners in Spain lives, and greeted her directly. He got into her car as if it were his own. Since he was so trusting and not at all scared, we assume that he had already lived in a home and was clearly abandoned. No one was looking for him, he had no microchip, and he was also not neutered. Such a loving tomcat, who seeks closeness to humans without any hesitation, needs a permanent warm and safe roof over his head with loving people. Justin shows no bad behavior with our Spanish colleagues. He simply enjoys every moment of attention and love he receives. He also likes other cats and will therefore only be rehomed with existing cats. Of course, he would also love to bring one of his friends directly from Spain. Justin has already tested negative for FIV and FeLV and has been neutered. He is also microchipped and vaccinated. Who will give this trusting cuddle cat a home?

About Justin

What life with Justin looks like

Justin is a adult european shorthair cat waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Justin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Justin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Justin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Justin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Justin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Justin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Justin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
