Adopt Nala

German Shepherd · Female · Puppy

I am the little Nala 🐾 and looking for my forever home. I was born on 13.03.2026 and have been living at our shelter in Spain since May 2026. Everyone there says I am a very sweet, cheerful, and curious little girl dog. Puppy-like, playing and running around are currently my absolute favorite activities. But after that, I love snuggling and enjoying every bit of attention. I think people are great, and I get along well with other dogs too. As for cats, I haven't met any yet, so I can't say much about them. Since a German Shepherd is in me, I will still grow quite a bit and want not only physical but also mental stimulation. That's why I wish for people who are eager to show me the world, learn with me, and go on many adventures. My new home should be full of love, patience, and responsibility – after all, I hope to accompany you for many years. Kids would be great, but they should already be a bit older so we can grow up together in a relaxed manner. If you're looking for a faithful friend on four legs who will make you laugh, snuggle with you, and walk side by side through life, then maybe your Nala is waiting here. 🐾 Upon arrival, I am vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and have my EU pet passport.

About Nala

What life with Nala looks like

Nala is a puppy/kitten german shepherd dog waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nala, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nala?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nala on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nala if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nala already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nala isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nala and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
