His bravery reminds us that even small warriors can do great things. Now everyone wishes him only one thing, that his scar will heal soon, the pain will go away and he can return to his happy cat life. And he sends you all a kiss and thanks for holding your fingers and the money you sent him. Thank you!!!! Because when we are able to bend down to stray and abandoned cats, we find among them more than one treasure. Kabrňák is proof of that. On Saturday, 14.2.2026 evening, we took in the tomcat, he was in a very bad condition. A huge abscess, almost no breathing through the nose, emaciation, dehydration. His eyes were stuck together with thick pus, one even covered with blood. His nose was completely blocked with scabs from the abscess and each breath was a battle. During treatment, we found something much worse - enlarged kidneys and a diaphragmatic hernia. The kidneys, liver, spleen, intestines had moved into the chest because of it. Each breath was not only painful for him but also dangerous. The tomcat Kabrňák underwent surgery on Friday, 20.2. Due to the diaphragmatic hernia, the doctors had to surgically reposition the organs back to their correct place, as part of them had dangerously shifted into the chest, compressing the lungs and heart. It was a very demanding procedure, where the experience of the veterinary team and Kabrnák's incredible strength decided. Big thanks to the veterinary clinic Sokolníky for early diagnosis and help and to the veterinary clinic Nusle for the excellent operation. The operation was long and tense. Finally, there was relief, the procedure went well. Kabrňák bravely fought and showed how big a heart is hidden in his cat body. Now he is at home, gets antibiotics, painkillers and drops for his eyes. Kabrňák is resting a lot, sleeping and gathering strength. On his belly remains a large scar with staples. He moves carefully and slowly for now. On March 2nd, he has a check-up, which will show how his little body is healing. Until then, he needs mainly quiet, care and lots of cuddling. And we're trying to give him as much as possible.
