Kacperek

Male · Adult · 8 years

This lovely male cat has a black and white coat, his distinguishing feature is a pink nose. Kacperek came to us recently. We know he had a home, he was brought to the animal shelter trapped. However, no one was looking for him or claimed him. He is not yet fully confident with us, but has already shown us that he is a cat very eager for affection. He greets people happily, with his tail raised in excitement. He loves pets and treats in tubes. Most likely he previously lived as an only cat, as he reacts poorly to the presence of other cats. Therefore, he will probably feel best in a home where he is the only cat. Before arriving, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the adoption procedure: Before adoption, make sure your home/apartment is safe and properly prepared to welcome a new family member. Warning: If you decide to adopt a cat or are considering it, be sure to bring a carrier or transport bag to the animal shelter for transporting cats.

Uwielbia pieszczoty i smaczki w tubkach.

About Kacperek

What life with Kacperek looks like

Kacperek is a small adult cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Note from the shelter: Needs to be only cat in household due to poor reaction to other cats

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kacperek, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kacperek?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kacperek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kacperek if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kacperek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kacperek isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kacperek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
