How do I contact the shelter about Kado?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kado on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Kado if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Kado already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Kado isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kado and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Kado

Kado is the name of the dog. The dog was estimated to be 9 years old and arrived at the shelter very neglected. He is emaciated, his ribs can be counted on his fingers... his fur was falling out in handfuls, and in addition, the little dog has significant mobility problems. Kado was taken in, but due to the ongoing proceedings in this matter, he cannot be adopted for the time being... Fortunately, he has not lost his will to fight and greets volunteers and caregivers cheerfully! He is a wonderful dog, very friendly, cheerful, open to humans and intelligent. We recently decided to bring his neglected coat into order - Kado underwent a full spa, including combing, bathing and drying. He was very well-behaved during the procedures. Keep your fingers crossed that his legal situation will be clarified as soon as possible and he can go to a new, TRUE home. We also invite you to the social media of our group of volunteers, where you will find reports from the lives of our wards at the Shelter, information about adoptions, greetings from homes, educational posts and much more! Kado to imię z domu. About Kado

What life with Kado looks like

Kado is a medium-sized senior dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.
