Kajtek

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Hello, I'm Kajtus! I was born in March 2020 and came to the shelter on August 24, 2026 from Bałtycka Street. My owner was hospitalized and could no longer care for me. That's how my life suddenly changed... I'm an extremely sociable dog and I really need human closeness. Loneliness is definitely not for me - as soon as someone appears nearby, I beautifully ask with my paws for a bit of attention, petting, and time spent together. I would love to be close to my human at all times. I get along with other dogs without any problems. I can walk on a leash, I'm trained to be clean and I already know what life in a house looks like. I've been vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped, and I've also been neutered. Now I miss my own human and a quiet place where I can feel safe again. If you're looking for a faithful, affectionate and very eager for love friend - maybe we're waiting for each other?

Zostałem zaszczepiony, odrobaczony i zaczipowany, jestem też wykastrowany.

About Kajtek

What life with Kajtek looks like

Kajtek is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Zabrze in Zabrze.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kajtek, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kajtek?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Zabrze handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kajtek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kajtek if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Zabrze will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kajtek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kajtek isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Zabrze early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kajtek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
