Adopt Kalu

Kalu was found in a poor condition and brought to us at our shelter. He had severely bad teeth, was very emaciated and matted. Now he has nice fur, has gained some weight, and has had dental work done. Blood tests unfortunately revealed that he has slightly bad kidney and liver values. Therefore, Kalu is on special kidney food and something to support his liver. Kalu's blood values should be checked regularly. Unfortunately, Kalu still occasionally has problems with gum inflammation, which are likely to not completely disappear. Additionally, he has a heart murmur. Kalu is a friendly tomcat who enjoys attention and will also snuggle with familiar people. He is curious and always wants to be involved. He is currently alone in a room, but has also lived temporarily with a reserved and quiet cat. There were no problems and no fights. Kalu is looking for a new home suitable for apartment living with people who are aware that Kalu will unfortunately be a permanent work-in-progress and may need to go to the vet occasionally. At the vet, he is unfortunately not nice, and can be very direct. In everyday interactions, he is friendly and will simply walk away if it gets too much for him. Small children should not live in the household.

Kalu wurde in einem schlechten Zustand gefunden und zu uns ins Tierheim gebracht. Er hatte massiv schlechte Zähne, war stark abgemagert und verfilzt. Mittlerweile hat er wieder schönes Fell, etwas zugenommen und Zahnsanierungen hinter sich. Bei Blutuntersuchungen hat sich leider ergeben, dass er leicht schlechte Nieren- und Leberwerte hat. Deshalb bekommt Kalu Nierenspezial-Futter und etwas zur Unterstützung der Leber. Kalus Blutwerte sollten in regelmäßigen Abständen kontrolliert werden. Leider bekommt Kalu immermal wieder Probleme mit Zahnfleischentzündungen, diese werden vermutlich auch nicht mehr komplett verschwinden. Zudem hat er ein Herzgeräusch. Kalu ist ein freundlicher Kater, der Aufmerksamkeit genießt und sich von vertrauten Menschen auch gerne kuscheln lässt. Kalu ist neugierig und am liebsten immer dabei. Er sitzt momentan alleine in einem Zimmer, hatte aber auch schonmal zeitweise mit einer zurückhaltenden und ruhigen Katze zusammen gelebt. Das war kein Problem und es kam nicht zu Streitigkeiten. Kalu ist auf der Suche nach einem neuen Zuhause in Wohnungshaltung bei Menschen die sich bewusst sind, dass Kalu leider eine Dauerbaustelle bleiben wird und hin und wieder plötzlich zum Tierarzt muss. Beim Tierarzt ist er leider nicht nett, da kann auch sehr schnell sehr direkt werden. Im alltäglichen Umgang ist er aber freundlich und geht einfach weg, wenn es ihm zu viel wird. Kleine Kinder sollten nicht im Haushalt wohnen.
