Kastiel, Josh and Kratzbert Print Published: July 30, 2026 Breed: Mixed Shorthair + Longhair Age: unknown Sex: male Neutered: yes Color: black and white, black Kastiel, Josh, and Kratzbert are - alongside Aisha and Fipsy - three of the 33 rescued cats from the Marburg area. They all lived under terrible conditions with many other feline companions in a small apartment and were secured by the Vet. Office and the local animal welfare association. We took these 5 cats into our care. The start was not easy for the three. Uncertainty, fear, "what happens to us here" were the initial companions. Through our close work with them, the ice was broken over time and three absolutely affectionate cats emerged. Kastiel is the ultimate cuddler. When his person of trust comes, nothing can hold him back. He cuddles, sometimes even drools with delight, and you can even pick him up and cuddle with him. He has simply developed into such a great guy, which makes us very happy. He is the largest of the three. Josh - our fluffy fellow - had to have his fur shorn because it was severely matted. He was the first, incidentally, to let himself be touched. When stroking him, he makes little leaps. If he doesn't like something, he can also hit. He leaves his claws in, but he simply makes his point clear. He is a cheeky little fellow and very curious. He loves to play with the speed ball rail and also wants to satisfy his curiosity otherwise. Kratzbert took the longest. Sometimes it still doesn't feel quite right to him, but his friends give him the necessary strength. You can notice his uncertainty and then how it disappears when the other two are by his side. He also likes to play with Josh and the ball track and finds stroking very nice. These three boys

Alle Katzen Kastiel, Josh und Kratzbert Drucken Veröffentlicht: 30. Juli 2026 Rasse: EKH + Langhaar-Mix Alter: unb.

About Kastiel, Josh und Kratzbert

What life with Kastiel, Josh und Kratzbert looks like

Kastiel, Josh und Kratzbert is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Alsfeld in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kastiel, Josh und Kratzbert, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kastiel, Josh und Kratzbert?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Alsfeld handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kastiel, Josh und Kratzbert on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kastiel, Josh und Kratzbert if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Alsfeld will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kastiel, Josh und Kratzbert already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kastiel, Josh und Kratzbert isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Alsfeld early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kastiel, Josh und Kratzbert and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
