2-year-old Kaszmir has been waiting for a home for a year. Kaszmir is a delicate, somewhat shy dog. He greets familiar volunteers with joy and confidence. He patiently allows himself to be led on a leash, raises his paw when needed. But he approaches new people cautiously. He needs time to trust. Kaszmir likes to be close to a person, enjoys being petted, willingly exposes his belly, and gives kisses. Kaszmir loves walks in the company of dogs and female dog he knows. When walking without companions, he often walks by the side of his handler, seeking support and a sense of security, especially when meeting other dogs. His first reaction is to freeze, rather than retreat, but he can also jump - an experienced caregiver will be a guide, helping him navigate in such difficult situations. Kaszmir has had a short, unsuccessful adoption, which has taught us more about his needs and what type of caregiver he should have. We are looking for a home where there is calm, preferably also away from the city noise and excessive stimuli. Every dog going to a new home needs time to adjust to the new situation, and Kaszmir will get along best with a confident, but patient, consistent, but respectful of the dog's boundaries and individual needs.
