Kater Moses sucht sein ruhiges Zuhause 🐾

Male · Young · 3 years

Moses was caught at a feeding station and brought to us. It quickly became clear to us: This handsome cat is not a typical stray who wants to live exclusively outdoors. Moses would like to live with people - he just needs a little time to gain trust and come out of his shell. In the cat room, Moses is currently rather reserved. He doesn't push himself forward and only seeks attention on his own. However, when it comes to treats, things look very different: As soon as there is something delicious to be had, Moses is suddenly right at the front. 😸 A particularly exciting situation showed us that Moses apparently has more curiosity about people than he shows in everyday life: When a cat owner with a child was with us in the room, Moses suddenly joined the child on the couch and even let the child pet him. For us, this is a nice sign that he can enjoy closeness if the situation is relaxed and unforced for him. That's why we can imagine a home with cat-experienced, somewhat older or quiet children for Moses, who know that a cat doesn't always want to cuddle right away and respect their boundaries. Children should already have experience in dealing with cats and not pressure Moses. Moses has no problems with other cats. On the contrary: He generally likes company, but seems to particularly like the quieter cats in his room. A social, balanced feline companion could therefore be a good match. For Moses, we wish a rather quiet home with outdoor access, where he can arrive at his own pace. His new people should give him the time he needs to build trust and not expect him to be a cuddly lap cat from day one. Maybe Moses just needs people to show him that a home can be more than a feeding station - and to be happy about every small step he takes towards them. ❤️

Frequently asked

Adopting Kater Moses sucht sein ruhiges Zuhause 🐾, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kater Moses sucht sein ruhiges Zuhause 🐾?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Düsseldorf handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kater Moses sucht sein ruhiges Zuhause 🐾 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kater Moses sucht sein ruhiges Zuhause 🐾 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Düsseldorf will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kater Moses sucht sein ruhiges Zuhause 🐾 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kater Moses sucht sein ruhiges Zuhause 🐾 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Düsseldorf early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kater Moses sucht sein ruhiges Zuhause 🐾 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
