Keks, Bella & Moritz

Mixed Breed · Male

Name: Keks, Bella & Moritz Age: Keks 7 months, Bella 3 years, Moritz 1-2 years. Gender: female and male, neutered Today we would like to introduce you to a very special little cat family: Papa Moritz, Mama Bella, and Baby Keks were caught as part of a neutering project. As they could not stay at their original location and there was no other solution in the middle of the bitter cold winter, we wanted to give them a chance at a real home. And we were right. After a short time, Papa Moritz (black and white, 1-2 years) overcame his initial uncertainty, approached at his foster place, and has since become an absolute dream cat. The cuddly bear loves people and enjoys being close to them. He is curious, playful, and completely uncomplicated. His hobbies include eating, sleeping, playing with Baby Keks, and cuddling with his humans. Mama Bella (tabby, about 3 years) needs her space; during the day she often prefers to chill alone. But when it gets dark outside or when the food is served, she transforms into a cuddly, sweet mouse, allowing herself to be petted extensively and even rubbed on the belly. The approximately three-year-old Bella can finally be a cat after years of survival struggle. Baby Keks (about 7 months) loves to play and roughhouse with Papa Moritz and snuggle with Mama Bella. With people, the sweet kitten—whom we initially thought was a tomcat—is still cautious and cannot yet be touched, but she is very curious and already eats from the hand of her primary caregiver with treats. We are confident that the little robber's daughter will gain trust if given enough time. Keks has a deformation around her right eye, which causes her no problems and requires no medical treatment. We know the chances are extremely slim to find a place where the three can stay together. However, we still want to try. Perhaps through this path and with the help of the community, we can find a home that finally gives this little family the love and security they deserve. These three different dream cats will repay it a thousand times over, we are sure of that! Would you like to meet Moritz, Bella, and Keks? Then contact us at . The three are not at the cat house but at a private foster place in the Mittelburgenland. Share: Share on X (Twitter)

Name: Keks, Bella & MoritzAlter: Keks 7 Monate, Bella 3 Jahre, Moritz 1-2 Jahre. Teilen:Share on X (Twitter)Share on FacebookShare on Email

About Keks, Bella & Moritz

What life with Keks, Bella & Moritz looks like

Keks, Bella & Moritz is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Wir für Tier Oberwart in Loipersdorf im Burgenland.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Keks, Bella & Moritz, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Keks, Bella & Moritz?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wir für Tier Oberwart handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Keks, Bella & Moritz on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Keks, Bella & Moritz if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wir für Tier Oberwart will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Keks, Bella & Moritz already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Keks, Bella & Moritz isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wir für Tier Oberwart early rather than rehoming privately; they know Keks, Bella & Moritz and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
