adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Kendra has found her very own home! Her story: Kendra, the little heartbreaker on four paws! This black-and-white puppy is about three months old and weighs around 3 kg. When she and her siblings were found alone on a field in Fantanele, her mother was nowhere to be seen. Now she is ready for her big adventure and is searching for a family that will show her the world. Kendra is a little treasure: friendly, more on the quiet side, and not overly active for her age. Her gentle nature makes her a great companion, and she gets along well with other dogs. Whether she gets along with cats has not been tested yet. We assume she will grow to be an average-sized adult dog. Kendra is in her best puppy phase and still has a lot to learn: house training, leash training, and the basic commands are at the top of the list. As she is about to enter puberty, she needs a family that will meet her with lots of patience and love. She will probably have a bit of mischief in her head at times, but with the right guidance, she will make a great companion. We don't know what breeds are in her. We cannot rule out hound genes. If you are ready to give Kendra a loving home, please get in touch! She is eagerly waiting for her new life. After a positive health check, she is also a good candidate for a foster home. When Kendra embarks on her big journey, she is already microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas, and she also has her EU pet passport in her luggage. Thank you, Pia E.! You gave Kendra a name and thus an identity. Status: 16.08.

Stand: 16.08.2025

About Kendra

What life with Kendra looks like

Kendra is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kendra, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kendra?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kendra on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kendra if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kendra already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kendra isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kendra and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
