Adopt Kentucky

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

If you’re looking for a lively dog, always ready for action, then Kentucky is your man. He must have been a rodeo rider in his previous life, because he’s just always on the go, and that’s how he got his Wild West name - Kentucky! Kentucky is looking for an active partner in life, with who to go on many adventures, and with who probably to get into a trouble or two! At the moment we are looking for a home without children for him, as he’s so lively and active, that he’d probably run over all the kids on his way from bed to garden. We have not yet tested him with other dogs, if he’ll match with another dog in a home, then it’ll will definitely have to be a four-legged friend who doesn’t not mind having a Cowboy at home. Kentucky is a dog full of character and will be your loyal partner-in-crime. Yeee-haw!

About Kentucky

What life with Kentucky looks like

Kentucky is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kentucky, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kentucky?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kentucky on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kentucky if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kentucky already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kentucky isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kentucky and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
