Kifli is a friendly, people-oriented, affectionate, still fit and adventurous male dog who was born in June 2017. He has a rare history for Hungary as he had the good fortune to live his first six years of life with his owner in an apartment - which is unusual since most dogs in Hungary are kept outside in gardens, kennels or on chains. Unfortunately, his owner passed away three years ago and Kifli was locked up by relatives in a dilapidated barn where he lived a sad and lonely life. A female animal rights activist discovered him by chance and convinced the relatives to let her take him over, which they were happy to do as they were glad to be rid of him. The animal rights activist has brought many dogs to our shelter before and asked if there was room for Kifli, and of course shelter manager Kata could not refuse this poor fellow.

Doch dann verstarb seine Besitzerin vor 3 Jahren und Kifli wurde von Verwandten in eine verfallene Scheune gesperrt, wo er fortan ein trauriges und einsames Leben fristete. Bis eine Tierschützerin ihn zufällig entdeckte und die Verwandten überzeugen konnte, ihn ihr zu überlassen, was nicht sehr schwer war, waren diese doch eigentlich froh, ihn loszuwerden. Die Tierschützerin hat schon öfter Hunde in unser Tierheim gebracht und fragte nun auch für den lieben Kifli, ob Platz für ihn wäre und natürlich konnte Tierheimleiterin Kata den armen Kerl nicht ablehnen.
