Killa

Female · Young · 3 years

Country of origin: Hungary The lovely Killa, with her beautiful eyes, had been wandering around the Hetény community for some time already. However, she was fearful, clever, and cautious—and for a long time, she wouldn't let herself be caught. On June 19, 2026, we finally managed to secure her, because as a stray dog, she was exposed to many dangers. Of course, Killa wasn't chipped, nor had she been reported missing. Her past will remain a mystery. Killa deeply wishes to soon exchange the animal shelter for a loving, permanent home where she can find peace and security. We're keeping our fingers crossed for her! Killa is probably a Mudimix. The Mudi is a Hungarian herding dog breed. Killa is quite shy, and her new living situation isn't easy for her. Animal shelter employee Anna has taken her under her wing, and "the little one" has made progress—so much so that she's finally ready to...

About Killa

What life with Killa looks like

Killa is a young adult dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Killa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Killa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Killa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Killa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Killa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Killa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Killa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
