Little Kimana was found on the streets of Romania together with her two sisters, Melania and Taya. No one knows where the three puppies originally came from. Perhaps they were abandoned when they became unwanted. Or maybe they had to live on the streets from birth, learning to fend for themselves. There, Kimana had to search every day for something edible. She had to find shelter from rain, cold, and danger—and remain constantly alert in order to survive. For a young puppy, that’s far too heavy a burden. But that’s not all: Kimana contracted parvovirus—a serious illness that proves fatal for many puppies. Yet the little dog bravely fought for her life and survived the disease. Today, she lives together with her sisters at a foster home on a secured property. Although she’s safe there, a puppy shouldn’t spend its entire childhood in such an environment. Kimana deserves the chance to explore the world, experience security, and finally feel truly at home. Kimana is about 3 to 4 months old and currently stands around 30 cm tall at the shoulder. When fully grown, she’ll probably become a medium-sized dog. The young dog has a delicate build and wears a short coat that’s mostly light-colored. Particularly striking is her beautiful black-and-white facial markings. The dark patches around her eyes, the white blaze, and her half-drooping ears give her a very special expression. With her slender body, fine legs, and light stature, Kimana appears elegant and youthful. Overall, she’s a very pretty dog with a friendly demeanor that immediately catches attention. Kimana gets along well with other dogs and also handles people nicely. She approaches her surroundings in a friendly and calm manner. Of course, she’s still a young puppy who has yet to get to know life. Many things that are completely natural for our dogs are entirely new to Kimana. Living indoors, everyday noises, walks, car rides, environmental stimuli, or being left alone—she’ll have to learn all these step by step. Moving into her own home marks the beginning of an entirely new chapter for Kimana. She’ll need time to settle in and build trust. Her future family should therefore bring patience, understanding, and empathy. At the same time, Kimana needs loving and consistent training. Clear rules and positive reinforcement give young dogs security and orientation. Attending a positively oriented dog school can be a valuable support, helping not only with learning but also strengthening the bond between dog and human. Soon, Kimana will enter puberty. This developmental phase is a natural part of growing up and often brings some challenges. Suddenly, familiar rules seem to be forgotten, attention wanes, and many things are questioned. This isn’t disobedience—it’s a normal part of development. With patience, understanding, and loving consistency, this phase will pass too, helping Kimana grow into a confident, adult dog. As a puppy, Kimana wants to explore the world and learn something new every day. Above all, she needs age-appropriate mental and physical stimulation. Together walks, simple scent games, first nose work exercises, social interactions, and short training sessions will promote her development and bring her joy. Equally important are sufficient rest periods. Young dogs especially need to learn how to process experiences and relax. A balanced mix of activities, shared moments, and relaxation will help Kimana develop into a well-rounded dog. We wish Kimana a loving and empathetic home with people who’ll show her just how wonderful a dog’s life can be—people who’ll give her the time she needs to settle in, patiently accompany her, and share both the small and big adventures of life with her. Kimana has already experienced more than any puppy should. Now, all she’s missing is the most important thing: her own family, one that gives her security, loves her, and finally provides the home she so desperately deserves. Kimana ist eine wunderschöne, langbeinige Junghündin mit einer ganz besonderen Tricolour-Zeichnung. Mit ihren aktuell etwa 57 cm ist sie schon jetzt eine stattliche Erscheinung und wird ausgewachsen vermutlich eine große Hündin werden. Doch Kimana überzeugt nicht nur durch ihr außergewöhnliches Aussehen – vor allem ihr liebevolles und menschenbezogenes Wesen macht sie zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Kimana wurde in Rumänien gefunden und war dort schwer an Parvo erkrankt. Doch die kleine Kämpferin hat sich ins Leben zurückgekämpft und die Erkrankung überstanden. Anschließend durfte sie bei einer liebevollen Pflegefamilie in Rumänien zur Ruhe kommen und sich erholen. Seit Ende August lebt Kimana nun in Deutschland in einer Pflegefamilie mit zwei weiteren Hunden und einem Kind. Von Beginn an zeigt sie, wie viel Vertrauen sie in Menschen setzt. Sie ist ausgesprochen verschmust, anhänglich und genießt die Nähe zu ihren Menschen sehr. Am liebsten möchte sie einfach dabei sein und ihrem Menschen gefallen. Auch mit Kindern kommt Kimana wunderbar zurecht. Mit dem Sohn ihrer Pflegefamilie schmust und spielt sie gerne und begegnet ihm völlig unbefangen und freundlich. Mit den vorhandenen Hunden versteht sie sich ebenfalls sehr gut. Wie es sich für eine junge Hündin in ihrem Alter gehört, ist Kimana allerdings noch voller Energie und manchmal etwas stürmisch. Ihre eigene Größe und Kraft kann sie dabei noch nicht immer richtig einschätzen. Deshalb wünschen wir uns für sie möglichst einen souveränen, bereits größeren Hund an ihrer Seite. Kimana ist eine aktive und sportliche Hündin, die sowohl körperlich als auch geistig beschäftigt werden möchte. Gleichzeitig steckt sie mitten in der Pubertät und hat dementsprechend allerlei Flausen im Kopf. Mit ihrem fröhlichen und charmanten Wesen bringt sie ihre Menschen dabei sicherlich immer wieder zum Schmunzeln. Nun braucht Kimana Menschen, die ihr liebevoll, geduldig und konsequent Orientierung geben und ihr zeigen, wie die große weite Welt funktioniert. Der Besuch einer positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule wäre gerade in ihrer aktuellen Entwicklungsphase eine wunderbare Unterstützung. Aufgrund ihrer Größe und ihres teilweise noch stürmischen Junghundeverhaltens sollten Kinder im neuen Zuhause bereits standfest sein. Kimana sucht Menschen, die Freude daran haben, eine junge Hündin auf ihrem Weg ins Erwachsenwerden zu begleiten. Menschen, die ihr Sicherheit geben, gemeinsam mit ihr lernen und ihr gleichzeitig die aktive und abwechslungsreiche Beschäftigung bieten, die sie braucht.
