ADOPTED - KINETTE (F) – 10 YEARS – to adopt via BLC W134005172 Characteristics Date of birth: 17/11/2015 Sex: Female Registered with LOF/LOSH/ISDS: No Disabilities: No Child friendly: yes Dog friendly: yes Cat friendly: indoors, yes Other animals: lived with other animals Character Kinette is a border collie mix who belonged to an elderly person. She lived for a long time with her friend Emie in the garden without any problems. We tried a double adoption (Emie and KINETTE) in a home where there was already another dog. It turned out that Emie (who is younger) found her place and thrives there, but KINETTE does not integrate or only very difficultly. Long daily walks and a large yard are offered every day, but she remains very reactive during walks. In fact, KINETTE was not accustomed to these activities and is not comfortable. A calmer life without too many outings and with a less active owner would probably be better for her. She is happy on the sofa giving cuddles. Story Kinette lived quietly with her friend Emie with an elderly person who took them for short walks. The health of this person suddenly deteriorated and she had to be admitted to a nursing home. KINETTE was therefore left alone with Emie; a double adoption was attempted but did not work. Home sought The nice KINETTE has no great requirements, a master present to take her for the short walks she loves, and also cuddles as she loves them very much. However, it will be necessary to remain firm with her. About KINETTE

What life with KINETTE looks like

KINETTE is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Border Line Collie in borderlinecollie.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting KINETTE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about KINETTE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Border Line Collie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw KINETTE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt KINETTE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Border Line Collie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is KINETTE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if KINETTE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Border Line Collie early rather than rehoming privately; they know KINETTE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
