Kinga

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Mixed-breed Kinga - small, curious and ready for her own happiness Kinga and her brother Johnny were taken in by our Bulgarian animal welfare colleagues at the local shelter. Nearly 50 puppies are currently waiting for their chance - and Kinga hopes to travel to her own home or a loving foster home in October. The little mouse is a cheerful, outgoing and curious puppy. She loves to play and romp with the other dogs, explore her surroundings and enjoys every attention. She approaches people openly and enjoys every caress. We wish Kinga a home where she can arrive with patience, love and understanding. She is not yet familiar with life in a family and must first learn the ABC of dogs - housebreaking, staying alone, driving a car and all the many new impressions are still part of her big adventures. With loving guidance, she will surely master these challenges step by step. Kinga is looking for people who will show her how beautiful a dog's life can be. People who love her, give her security, discover the world with her and give her many cuddles. Whoever is aware that a small puppy will one day become an adult dog that will accompany you through life for many years will find in Kinga a wonderful companion for life. Who falls in love with our little Kinga and gives her the chance at a happy dog life? Adopting a shelter dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also become a challenge. The dogs bring a backpack with past experiences or unlearned situations and need time to settle into their new life. If you are seriously interested in adopting Kinga, please contact the responsible mediator of SALVA Hundehilfe. We would also be very happy to provide a foster home. Here's Kinga's video Video 2

About Kinga

What life with Kinga looks like

Kinga is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kinga, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kinga?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kinga on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kinga if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kinga already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kinga isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kinga and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
