Kira arrived to us together with Morgan and Nina. They come from the countryside where they had been under the care of a woman who sadly took her own life, and the animals stayed behind. We quickly noticed that the three girls were not doing each other any good and were pushing each other into unhealthy dynamics, so we decided to separate Kira from the pack. It became clear that Kira probably never knew any other dogs besides Nina and Morgan in her past, which is why she initially had great difficulties and deep insecurities when meeting unfamiliar dogs. We have been working intensely on her resocialization, and she is already making wonderful progress. She is currently living harmoniously with two male dogs. Very typical for a Shepherd, she loves to run along with them, but she also tends to want to slow down and stop their playful dynamics sometimes. She never does this maliciously, and in those moments she always immediately seeks contact with us humans and asks very politely for feedback and guidance. When passing other dogs on walks she is often still a bit insecure at first in direct contact, but this has already improved so much. We have done several tests with other dogs and clearly saw that Kira never wants to act maliciously, she simply wishes for a little distance and security at the very beginning of new encounters. As soon as you leave the loud shelter environment with her, she immediately shows a wonderfully balanced, quieter, focused and completely relaxed side. Kira is incredibly sweet to us humans and enjoys our company to the fullest. It is an absolute pleasure to go walking in the nature with her. She walks on the leash literally like melted butter. Contrary to many other Shepherds who often seem very nervous and restless, Kira is extremely soft and can be guided wonderfully easily in the nature, making her an incredibly pleasant companion. When she is alone with her human, she intensely seeks connection and builds a fine communication very quickly. She is never demanding in a stressful way, but she simply enjoys being together with her human and experiencing a little adventure together. Like all intelligent dogs, she of course has a lot of fun doing little exercises and tricks, but she never overwhelms you with a constant urge for activity. She also travels really well in the car. For our beautiful Kira we are looking for a home with calm and active people with profound dog experience, ideally already with experience with Shepherds or similar breeds. Her new humans absolutely must continue to help her interact socially with other dogs and give her the necessary security, as completely depriving her of social contacts would be absolutely the wrong path for her. She could wonderfully move in as a beloved single dog, but with a good and slow introduction she would also be very happy to join an already existing social and confident dog who can guide her further. Kira's shoulder height is 60cm.
