Kispesti Licsi

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

With the cooperation of several animal welfare organizations, several dogs in poor condition were rescued from a stray dog collector in Kispest. Two mixed breed female puppies arrived at Noé Animal Shelter under their care. Their owners gave them up. A official investigation is ongoing regarding this case. Unfortunately, the two puppies who came to us were severely neglected. The pair includes Licsi, a small-bodied pregnant mixed breed female dog born around October 2023. Unfortunately, according to medical examinations, she has a severe heart condition that required immediate medication. She is timid and startles at sudden movements, but she relaxes when touched. We administered the missing vaccinations and treated her for external and internal parasites upon her arrival. Licsi very much deserves to finally receive the care she has not received so far and to live as a family member. Licsi can be adopted as a family member after being vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and her heart condition managed.

About Kispesti Licsi

What life with Kispesti Licsi looks like

Kispesti Licsi is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Heart disease requiring medication and regular veterinary monitoring

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kispesti Licsi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kispesti Licsi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kispesti Licsi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kispesti Licsi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kispesti Licsi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kispesti Licsi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kispesti Licsi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
