Oswald

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Oswald is a friendly boy who came to us as a stray. He can be shy of new people but is growing in confidence a little more each day. He enjoys gentle head strokes on his own terms and is beginning to show his sweet personality as he settles in. He’s a big fan of enrichment and will happily tuck into anything you provide, always curious and engaged. You’ll often find Oswald waiting by the door, hoping you might have a tasty treat to offer - an easy way to win his heart! He is looking for a calm, patient home where he can continue to build his confidence and be bonded with a neutered female rabbit. With the right companion and home, Oswald is sure to flourish into a wonderful, loving rabbit. Rehoming fees: We ask for a minimum rehoming fee of £70 for our rabbits. This is to help cover our costs. All rabbits are neutered, up to date with all vaccinations and treated for E.cuniculi.Rehoming requirements:We base our rehoming requirements off the RWAF guidelines. Please click here to read more. About Oswald

What life with Oswald looks like

Oswald is a large young adult mixed breed rabbit waiting at PACT Animal Sanctuary in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Oswald, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Oswald?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. PACT Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Oswald on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Oswald if I live in another country?
Sometimes. Whether a rabbit can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask PACT Animal Sanctuary what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Oswald already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
What a rabbit comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask PACT Animal Sanctuary directly what is included and what Oswald still needs.
What happens if Oswald isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with PACT Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Oswald and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
