Kitten Registry

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 6 months

Our kitten registry is open all year round, however we never know when we will have kittens ready for rehoming. The number of kittens in rescue has increased due to so many un-speyed females having to suffer multiple litters. For our kittens, we ask for a home away from any main roads where they will be able to explore safely. We like to rehome our kittens in pairs. Our kittens are flea and worm treated, microchipped and vaccinated. They will require spay/neuter at the appropriate time, so this cost must be factored in when considering taking on a pair of kittens. Please complete our online enquiry form or email us to register. We only hold details for a month as we assume you will be actively looking, so please resubmit your form if you are still looking but haven’t heard from us. NB PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM /JUNK FOLDERS FOR OUR EMAIL RESPONSE.

About Kitten Registry

What life with Kitten Registry looks like

Kitten Registry is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Second Chance Animal Rescue in Southampton.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kitten Registry, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kitten Registry?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Second Chance Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kitten Registry on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kitten Registry if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Second Chance Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kitten Registry already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kitten Registry isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Second Chance Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kitten Registry and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
