Akira Dog Sanctuary: Update April 26, 2026: Kiwi shows up as a cuddly one who is completely energized by the attention of volunteers. He is always happy and finds all dogs equally lovely. He really needs his own house. + 2 new photos and a new video added. If he doesn't manage to touch your heart with that..... Input November 13, 2025: Kiwi was found completely alone near the animal shelter. He is a young Podenco with a beautiful rough coat. He has a fantastic character, very open and social with everyone, but he is also a first-class clown. Kiwi gets along well with other dogs, both males and females, and finds all people really nice. Kiwi needs a high fenced yard without obstacles where he can jump or climb. After all, he managed to climb over a two-meter fence at the animal shelter and was joyfully wagging his tail in front of the gate ten minutes later. He also climbs easily on top of the kennel run roof. A real clown, therefore! He doesn't mean it wrong, but he's just a little monkey. For now, they have made an extra roof in his kennel run so he can no longer escape. In his video you can clearly see how much of a climber Kiwi is; he is so resourceful! He climbs out of his kennel run, but he doesn't run away, he just stays hanging around in the animal shelter or standing in front of the gate. His kennel run has now been adapted in the hope that he will no longer be able to perform these dangerous skills. Outside on a leash, Kiwi walks very nicely with you, he doesn't pull or hardly at all, and we haven't discovered much prey instinct in him yet. Kiwi loves playing and cuddling. He simply sits on your lap and cuddles a lot. He is a young dog who likes to go on adventures with his own owner. Of course, he still needs to learn some things, and his owner must have an attentive eye, but he would be a perfect family dog for an active family. Who is falling for this handsome young man with lovely rough hair and accompanying beard?

Gereserveerd via het asiel, mei 2026 Akira Dog Sanctuary: Update 26 april 2026: Kiwi laat zich zien als een knuffel die helemaal opleeft van de aandacht van vrijwilligers.Hij is altijd blij en vind alle honden even lief. Hij is écht toe aan zijn eigen huisje. + 2 nieuwe foto's en een nieuwe video toegevoegd. Als hij daar je hart niet mee weet te raken..... Input 13 november 2025: Kiwi is helemaal alleen vlakbij het asiel gevonden. Hij is een jonge Podenco met een prachtige ruwharige vacht. Hij heeft een fantastisch karakter, heel open en sociaal met iedereen, maar is ook een eersteklas clown. Kiwi kan goed met andere honden, zowel reutjes als teefjes en hij vindt alle mensen ook reuze gezellig. Kiwi heeft een hoog omheinde tuin nodig, zonder obstakels waar hij op kan springen of klimmen. Hij wist in het asiel namelijk over een hek van twee meter te klimmen en stond tien minuten later weer vrolijk kwispelend voor de poort. Ook klimt hij zonder problemen op het dak van de kennel. Een echte clown dus! Hij bedoelt het allemaal niet verkeerd maar hij is gewoon een kleine aap. Ze hebben voor nu een extra dak in zijn kennel gemaakt waardoor hij niet meer kan ontsnappen. In zijn video is goed te zien hoe een klauteraapje Kiwi is, hij is zo vindingrijk! Hij klautert zijn kennel uit maar weglopen doet hij niet, hij blijft dan gewoon in het asiel rondhangen of voor de poort staan, inmiddels is zijn kennel zo aangepast in de hoop dat hij deze gevaarlijke kunsten niet meer kan uithalen. Buiten aan de lijn wandelt Kiwi heel erg netjes met je mee, hij trekt niet of nauwelijks en ook hebben we nog niet veel jachtinstinct bij hem ontdekt. Kiwi is gek op spelen en knuffelen. Hij komt gewoon bij je op schoot zitten en knuffelt heel wat af. Hij is een jonge hond die graag avonturen gaat beleven met zijn eigen baasje. Hij moet natuurlijk nog wat dingen leren en zijn baas moet een oplettend oog hebben, maar hij zou een perfecte familiehond zijn voor een actief gezin. Wie valt er voor deze knappe jongeman met heerlijke ruwe haartjes en bijbehorende baard?
