If you choose to adopt Kizzi and you take things at her pace, you will be rewarded with loving companion with a good temperament. She loves to have a good sniff on her walks and likes to visit the beach when it’s quiet. Kizzi enjoys fields and country walks and will take a dip in the sea, or pond to cool off. As Kizzi is sound-sensitive she will need her walkies to be in quiet and non-busy locations. She likes to sunbathe in the garden or lounge in suntrap in the home. Kizzi loves her food and treats; high value treats such as cocktail sausages and cheese are her absolute favourites. She knows a sit, stay and down. She will engage with soft toys, and she likes to play with squeaky toys. Kizzi likes to have a fuss and snuggle with her trusted people. Kizzi is a ten-year-old Patterdale cross Lurcher looking for a loving home with patient and understanding adults. She could potentially share her home with an easy-going dog. Kizzi will need a home without cats, small furries, or livestock. Kizzi is loving and loyal once she has that bond with you and potential adopters will need to come to the centre a few times to get to know Kizzi. Due to a bad start in life Kizzi is worried by new people and takes her time to trust. It is likely to take Kizzi a couple of days before she comes out of her shell in her new home and maybe a few weeks before she will be ready to go for a walk with this being the case she will need a home with a good garden. Kizzi would love to find a quiet home environment as she will take herself away to hide from any visitors coming into the home, she goes where she feels safe in her ‘safe space’ which is often under a table or behind a sofa. Kizzi is housetrained and travels well in the car to get to walks in quiet, peaceful locations. Kizzi will do well with structure, routine and predictability.
