kleiner roter Kater sucht sein Glück

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten

O'Melly was found not far from Lilly and Diva, around the same age. But they are not a family. Diva clearly said "ok, also a kitten, but not mine" The little cat is playful, reserved towards strangers, curious about everything that can be investigated. He likes other cats, children, toys, but no dogs. O'Melly will only be placed with an age-appropriate other cat/tomcat. A castration is mandatory 6 months ago. He would be happy with a secure balcony. For inquiries, please send us an email or leave a message on the answering machine, we will contact you as soon as possible. In case of emergencies, please contact the police or fire department. The city of Lünen does not have its own animal shelter. For private surrendered animals, the district animal shelter in Unna is responsible.

About kleiner roter Kater sucht sein Glück

What life with kleiner roter Kater sucht sein Glück looks like

kleiner roter Kater sucht sein Glück is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzverein Lünen in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting kleiner roter Kater sucht sein Glück, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about kleiner roter Kater sucht sein Glück?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Lünen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw kleiner roter Kater sucht sein Glück on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt kleiner roter Kater sucht sein Glück if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Lünen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is kleiner roter Kater sucht sein Glück already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if kleiner roter Kater sucht sein Glück isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Lünen early rather than rehoming privately; they know kleiner roter Kater sucht sein Glück and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
