Klonusz - a dog found on Klonowej Street. My name is Klonuś. I am a dog still learning what safety and trust mean. The world frightens me greatly – I can react aggressively out of fear, but it’s not because I want to harm anyone; I just don’t know how to deal with my fear in a different way. I don’t know how to go for walks like other dogs – the leash is completely unknown to me. The road ahead of me is long and filled with work with a behaviorist, caregivers, and volunteers who will help me step by step understand that not everything needs to evoke fear in me. I need getting-to-know-you walks and double safety measures to slowly open up to the new reality. I know I’m not a dog for everyone. I’m looking for a patient, experienced, and understanding person – someone who won’t be scared by my fear and who will show me that there’s a different way to live. Deep down, I very much want to feel peace and closeness, but I still can’t show it. Maybe someone will give me a chance and be a companion in this difficult but beautiful transformation?
