Kobe

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Our treasure Kobe is searching for a loving forever home! Kobe was found wandering alone by a roadside. It is believed that Kobe was hit by a vehicle and then left to its fate. One hind leg and one front leg were broken and only partially healed at the time. The poor Kobe was in great pain and was also severely undernourished. Luckily, a kind animal rescuer discovered him and brought him to the vet. Since the bones were already partially healed, the vet decided against surgery. Unfortunately, he is rather shy around people. The caretakers at the animal shelter know him well, so he takes food from their hands and is happy to see them. Whenever you enter his enclosure, Kobe is very interested. From strangers, however, he does not allow himself to be touched. For Kobe, we are looking for loving people who already have experience with anxious dogs. For Kobe, his fellow animals are very important, so we wish to find him a confident only dog to live with, who can help him overcome his fears. For Kobe, it would be wonderful to have the opportunity to play and sprint in a secure outdoor area. We wish our dear treasure Kobe a wonderful home with loving people who will give him all the time and patience to settle into his new home and gradually show him the world. It is very important to introduce Kobe to new situations with great patience. We are sure that he will develop well with the right people and that his fears will diminish over time. © 2006-2024 by animal welfare association Europa e.V.

© 2006-2024 by Tierschutzverein Europa e.V. - All rights reserved

About Kobe

What life with Kobe looks like

Kobe is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kobe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kobe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kobe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kobe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kobe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kobe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kobe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
